  PURPOSE WORK NATION

Interviews about the book

Humans at Work

Michael Glazer and Brandon discuss our nation's purpose, and how organizations can fulfill it, by activating purpose and belonging at scale. From Michael...

"There’s a yawning rift between the United States’ purpose and the reality that 97% of us are unhealthy, 84% of us are stressed out, 78% of us are living paycheck to paycheck.

Did you know that America’s national mammal, the bison, represents a guiding metaphor for how our public and corporate leaders can heal, empower and unify workers and citizenry alike?

My guest on Humans At Work this week did. Brandon Peele, Unity Lab CEO and author of "Purpose Work Nation: Leading Organizations in Service of Our Nation's Powerful Purpose", talks about the talent development, DE&I, learning, corporate culture and wellness practices businesses can use provide what people need to flourish."

The Gathering for Change Agents

An in-depth exploration of the bison, whose implied ethic is to choose to live in equanimity and inclusion by making space for others and are the national mammal of the United States. This stands in contrast to America’s national bird, the bald eagle, which is an independent raptor/predator. This discussion was explicitly aimed at exploring the rise of authoritarianism and other anti-communal qualities in the U.S. Participants to considered how these concepts apply to their region of the globe and shared their unique insights looking at America from the outside. Additionally, this conversation explored the idea that the private sector (businesses) has a big role in “saving the republic.”  LISTEN HERE
